Pricing is based on hanging weight which is what our USDA Certified Grass Fed Beefalo weigh at a local licensed and inspected custom meat processor partially processed prior to complete packaging. Our hanging weights have averaged 600-900# for the whole Beefalo. Our ranch sells by the hanging weight in Whole Beefalo, 1/2 Beefalo, or 1/4 Beefalo sizes with meat packer fees payable separately to our local small independently owned custom meat packers.
The actual hanging weight will vary according to the size of each individual Beefalo cow processed. Our exclusive grass fed and finished custom order process allows our Whole and 1/2 Beefalo customers the benefit of specifying how they want their meat cut. 1/4 Beefalo orders follow a popular custom cut. Custom meat processor fees are separate and payable directly to the meat processor when customers pick up their order.
